BR475 Quartersawn White Oak Bar Rail at Cedric’s

Green River Woods was honored to rebuild Biltmore’s Cedric’s Tavern bar top in Asheville. We used premium quartersawn/rift white oak that we had personally salvaged, milled and dried from a monumental historic tree on the Biltmore Estate over two years prior. This project presented many challenges–not least of all that we had to work quickly, installing the custom substrate(s), three piece mitered bar top, drink rail, trim to match existing notched corbels from an older non-standard bar rail, and the new bar rail all in two days. Everything matched perfectly and I am very proud of how it all turned out.
